Music is a vital part of our Sunday morning worship. It provides a means of expression for our praise & adoration, our joy and sorrows, and sometimes it puts into words what we are unable to express on our own. Our “worship style” is blended – including both more contemporary songs and traditional hymns. We believe that God always has and continues to inspire and enable people to create and write music that speaks of the love, grace, and mercy that truly changes lives.
Bethel’s music program includes:
Musicians – piano, keyboard, sax, violin, guitar, bass, & drums
The music program at Bethel is very much a team approach of which our choir is a large part. Not only does the choir sing a planned choral number, but they also share in the responsibility of leading corporate worship as much as the worship leader and praise team do. Our choir averages about 18 members and is comprised of both trained musicians and people who just like to sing – all participate on a volunteer basis. We use both recorded sound tracks and live music for choir accompaniment.
Choir rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. and Sunday Morning's at 8:45.
Variety in song style is our motto and hopefully provides a little something for most people’s musical pallets.
We also prepare seasonal music programs for Christmas & Easter.
5th Sunday Music Services
(2017 May, July, and October)
An entire service of music is planned for each month that offers a 5th Sunday. The program includes solos, duets, trios, ensembles, instrumental numbers, and choir specials.
We meet regularly on Sunday mornings @ 8:00 a.m. to prepare for the morning service. We also meet occasionally for additional practices specifically to work on new music that will be added to the music program. If you would be interested in speaking to our worship leader about becoming part of our worship team, please call the church office – 615-262-3396.
